Sound familiar?
A 6am sick call and the morning shift is short.
Agency spend is creeping up every month.
My permanent team is running on empty.
We've just taken on a new home and the rota's a mess.
Training and DBS renewals keep slipping through.
I just want someone who answers the phone.
How we help
Three ways to build safer, more consistent care.
Rota gaps, staff turnover and recruitment shortages have different causes, so they need more than cover. Staffing is usually where we start a partnership. The work that follows is about needing cover less often.
Staffing
Reliable cover, temporary or permanent.
Cover for sickness, holidays, short-notice pressure and hard-to-fill shifts, including new homes and acquisitions. Permanent recruitment when you need it.
Cover your gapsRetention
Keep care staff trained, compliant and engaged.
Keep good carers for longer, with the training, development and recognition that make them want to stay.
Trained staff, lower turnoverPathways
Routes into care for people out of work, closing the vacancy gap.
Funded routes into care for young people and adults returning to work, with selection, training, work experience and a first placement. Higher completion, and first jobs that stick.
Funded routes, jobs that stickWhy providers choose us
Cover you can trust, from people you can reach.

COMMISSIONERS
Stable care teams, across your area.
Resilience in the care you commission, when discharge or capacity pressure hits. Carers directly employed, fairly paid and compliance-verified before each shift. Visibility across providers so issues surface before they escalate.
Stabilise your provisionGOVERNMENT & FUNDERS
A pipeline that delivers staffing capacity.
One team across the whole route into care: training, work experience, interview support and a first job, with conversion data at every step.
Partner on the pipelineWhy we exist
It began with one family’s experience of care.
We Are Care started in one founder’s family, caring for a relative with dementia. That experience of the system from the inside is what the company was built on.
Our mission is to improve care across the UK, starting with the people who provide it.
Operators, not consultants. A founding team who run care services, employ carers and keep building and improving the platforms behind them.
How we operate
What guides us
Long-term strategic partnerships are how we work best. Short-term engagements are often where those start. The deeper the partnership, the more we can improve daily care together and reshape it structurally over time.
Care improves when the whole chain works together. Carers, providers, commissioners and funders each hold distinct roles. The closer those roles connect, the better the result.
We start with the person receiving care, and work back from there, from small improvements to structural change across staffing, retention, pathways and Baton.
Why carers choose us
A care employer who knows you.
Fair pay, transparent rates, and a coordinator who remembers your name. A real career path in care, with training that goes beyond the mandatory baseline.
