Cookie Policy

What cookies this site sets, why, and how to manage them.

Section 01

About this policy

We Are Care Ltd ("WAC", "we", "us", "our") sets no cookies by default on wearecare.co.uk. At most, our hosting provider may set a single strictly-necessary cookie for security and load balancing. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. This policy explains what cookies are, the strictly-necessary technologies we may rely on, and how you can control them.

This is a deliberately short cookie policy because we keep our cookie surface deliberately small. The site does not run targeted advertising. We do not sell or share visitor data with third parties for advertising purposes. We do not load social media tracking pixels.

Section 02

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies let a site remember information about your visit — for example, that you've already accepted a notice, or that a form you started is still in progress. They can be set by the website you're visiting (first-party cookies) or by a third party loaded into the page (third-party cookies).

Section 03

The cookies this site sets

Our site uses only the cookies listed below. We classify each according to the UK ICO's standard categories.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the site to function. They can't be turned off via this site, though your browser can block them — doing so may stop parts of the site working.

CookieSet byPurposeDuration
_netlify_session (if present)Netlify (hosting provider)Load balancing and basic session integrity. No personal data.Session

Functionality cookies

None set by default.

Performance / analytics cookies

None set by default at launch.

If WAC adds analytics to this site in future (e.g. a privacy-focused analytics provider), this section will be updated and a consent mechanism added before any analytics cookies are set. You'll see a banner at that point, not silent collection.

Marketing / advertising cookies

None. We don't run targeted advertising on this site.

Section 04

Third-party services on this page

Some pages connect to third-party services when you choose to use them — for example, booking a call or submitting a form. We list them honestly here; the relevant company's own policy applies to any data they collect. Our fonts are self-hosted, so the site does not load them from a third-party font service.

Section 05

Your choices

You have several ways to control cookies:

  • In your browser — every modern browser lets you accept, reject or delete cookies, and block specific sites. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all expose this in their privacy settings.
  • Browser private/incognito mode — most browsers offer a mode that doesn't persist cookies between sessions.
  • Microsoft Bookings opens at Microsoft — booking links take you to Microsoft Bookings in a new tab, where Microsoft's own cookies and policies apply. If you'd rather not use it, email the director directly using the address shown on the same page.

If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site (mainly form submission) may not work as expected.

Section 06

Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least annually and update it whenever we change the cookies we use or the third-party services we load. The version number and effective date at the top of this page tell you which version you're reading. We don't quietly modify the policy and then describe it as "updated" — if a material change happens, the version increments and the change is summarised below.

Change log

  • v1.1 — 8 June 2026 — Corrected to match the launched site: removed the Google Fonts reference (fonts are now self-hosted); clarified Microsoft Bookings as a linked third-party page rather than an embedded widget; updated the opening to reflect that no cookies are set by default.
  • v1.0 — 1 January 2026 — first version of the rebuilt Cookie Policy on the new wearecare.co.uk. Replaces the generic Elementor-template policy on the previous WordPress site.
